McNeill & Sons Tree Service

About McNeill & Sons Tree Service

Mogadore was a clay town once, jugs and crocks fired from the earth underneath it, and the reservoir at its edge still holds that old shape in still water and shoreline oaks. McNeill & Sons Tree Service works the streets running out from it — trimming and pruning the maples that turn the village orange by mid-October, taking down the hazard trees leaning toward a fence or a shed. A removal on a narrow Portage County lot is a puzzle of rope and rigging, solved one limb at a time. Wind crosses the reservoir with nothing to slow it, and after a storm has torn a crown apart, cleanup means chipping, raking, and leaving the ground ready to mow. Plain work, done in the open, and what it leaves behind stays standing.
