Jon's Lawns

About Jon's Lawns

There is a sound to Friday afternoons in a Milford neighborhood: a mower two houses down, a trimmer starting and stopping, then quiet. Jon's Lawns is often the source of it, working a route of yards around town — cutting the grass, trimming the beds and fence lines, clearing the drive with the blower, moving on. A regular schedule is its own kind of gift in this valley, where an inch of Ohio rain can turn a lawn shaggy overnight. Neighbors on the same street tend to end up on the same list, which is how a route becomes a small part of a place. Come fall the leaves get cleared, and the yards head into winter tidy.
