Carmel Landscapes

About Carmel Landscapes

Middlefield sits where the Geauga farmland stops rolling and simply stretches, hayfields running east toward Mesopotamia until the light gives out. Carmel Landscapes works that ground twice over: mowing, trimming and edging through the long green months, then plowing and salting once the lake-effect bands start stacking over the county. There is a particular satisfaction in a lawn cut against the grain of a Route 87 straightaway, every stripe running true. There is another in a driveway opened before the school bus comes, so nobody has to think about it. The work is ordinary, and it is also the reason a place looks cared for.
