Lamphear’s Lawn Service

About Lamphear’s Lawn Service

By the middle of October the light gets short in Medina, the lamps around Uptown Park come on at five, and the leaves start down faster than anybody can keep up with. Lamphear's Lawn Service spends the growing season mowing and trimming and edging, and the fall clearing whatever the maples let go. Then the first hard freeze arrives, the mowers get put up, and plows and salt take over the driveways and walks. Working into the dark is part of the deal in a northern town, and there is something companionable about a lit street and a job nearly finished. Spring shows up eventually; it always has.
