Baker's Cut & Trim

About Baker's Cut & Trim

Southeast of Massillon the streets give out into flat ground where the fields run toward Navarre and Brewster and a freight train pulls through the September stubble. Baker's Cut & Trim keeps the lawns on that seam between town and farm country — mowing, string trimming, edging, and the fall cleanups that come once the color drops. Out here a yard has weather on every side of it, and the grass shows each dry stretch and each soaking week. The pleasure of the job is the after: the sharp perimeter, the even pass, the smell that hangs around a fresh cut until dusk. Same yards, same care, every time through.
