About Stratton Green Lawn Co.

On the outer edges of Mason the farm ground has not entirely given up — you can still read old crop lines under new front lawns out past the last cul-de-sac. Stratton Green Lawn Co. works that seam, mowing, trimming and edging those young yards into shape all summer, then plowing and salting the long drives that come with them. Open ground means wind, and wind means a January snow refuses to stay where it lands, so some drives get cleared twice before dawn. Come June the same openness means sun from end to end and grass that grows like it is on a deadline. Either way, the truck knows the road by heart.
