About Landscapes by Terra

December dusk drops fast over the flat ground near the Union County Fairgrounds, and by four in the afternoon the plow lights are already on. Landscapes by Terra reads a Marysville storm by the wind as much as by the inches — on farmland this level, a three-inch night can pile a foot against a garage door by morning. So the work is clearing and then re-clearing: plowing drives and lots, shoveling stoops, spreading salt in the places where ice keeps resetting. The reward is small and exact — a homeowner backing out at six without ever touching a shovel. Winter in this county asks a great deal, and the answer is simply being out in it.
