About Frank's Contracting and Maintenance Services

Long before anything on Marion's main streets unlocks, there is a run of dark hours when the parking lots belong entirely to the plows. Frank's Contracting and Maintenance Services works that shift — clearing lots and drives, cutting back the windrow across an entrance, opening walkways and applying ice control where traffic packs snow to a shine. Out on the county roads the drifts return with the wind, so a route is never really finished, only kept. The good part is pulling into a place at five in the morning and leaving it looking like an ordinary Tuesday. Marion township and the nearby villages of Caledonia, Morral and New Bloomington sit inside the same winter round.
