About Greenleaf Compost Farm

The silt the Muskingum has been laying down at Marietta for a very long time makes for generous ground, and everything a lawn manages to do starts there. Greenleaf Compost Farm keeps that in view all growing year — mowing on a schedule the grass can actually keep, trimming edges clean, feeding turf and beds so the color holds into the dry weeks. Spring here is mud, then suddenly lush, and the first few cuts set the tone for everything after. A lawn handled patiently shows it: a thicker stand, fewer bare patches, a green that does not quit in August. That is the result worth working toward on this stretch of river.
