About Turf World Co.

The first flakes usually show over Warrensville Center Road at dusk, small and dry and going sideways, and by ten o'clock the plows are out. Turf World Co. runs the winter side of things in Maple Heights, clearing driveways and parking areas, shoveling sidewalks and entry steps, and putting salt down where ice wants to set up overnight. Lake Erie throws storms at this end of Cuyahoga County with very little warning, so the work is set by the sky rather than the calendar. To step outside at daybreak and find the drive already open is a particular kind of relief. That relief, over and over, all winter long, is the whole job.
