Manning Preservation and Maintenance

About Manning Preservation and Maintenance

Maple Heights sits on the step of land where the plateau rises above the Cuyahoga Valley, and that little bit of altitude is enough to turn a Cleveland rain into a Maple Heights snowfall. Manning Preservation and Maintenance keeps hours nobody else keeps: three in the morning, headlights full of falling flakes, the plow blade running the length of a driveway before anyone inside has stirred. Walks get shoveled down to the concrete, steps get cleared corner to corner, and ice melt goes where the shade holds a glaze all day long. A cleared drive is a small thing until the morning you need it, and then it is the only thing. Winter on this side of Cuyahoga County is long and loud, and the answer to it is simply showing up.
