About Lawn PhD

There is a study in every Madeira lawn if you look for it: how the ridge clay holds water, which side of a house the sun leaves first, where maple roots have thinned the turf. Lawn PhD mows, trims and edges with that reading in mind, adjusting height and pattern as spring comes on wet and warm along the east side of Cincinnati. April here is all mud and momentum — the grass wakes up faster than anyone is ready for, and the first few cuts set the tone of the whole season. Get those right and a lawn thickens, shades out its own trouble, and stays green deep into a Hamilton County August. That is the pleasure of it: a yard that asks less every year because somebody paid attention.
