About State Line Paving

The name is a fact of geography: Lowellville is a border town, and the Pennsylvania line runs just beyond the edge of the village. State Line Paving knows the ground it works on, and when winter buries that ground, the company turns to uncovering it. Picture a late-evening storm, flakes slanting through the floodlights over a parking lot, a plow working back and forth until the asphalt shows black and wet again. Heavy valley snow gets moved and pushed clear of entrances, and the surface underneath is left open for morning traffic. There is a paver's eye in it, an appreciation for a smooth, open surface and the satisfaction of leaving one behind.
