About Starks Landscaping & More

Autumn works its way up the Black River valley before it gets to the rest of town, and the maples over the reservation trail turn loose in one windy week. Starks Landscaping & More meets that week head-on: leaves pulled out of the beds and off the turf, the last mowings kept low, shrubs shaped back, mulch laid so the borders read dark and even against the green. There is a plain satisfaction in the moment a yard goes from buried to swept — you can hear it, the way the rake stops finding anything. The rest of the year it is steady mowing, trimming and edging, keeping beds honest and lines where they belong. Lorain hands its yards long generous growing months and one hard, gorgeous unraveling at the end, and both get the same attention.
