London Snow

About London Snow

Storms here often come down from the northwest fast and dry — a few inches, then a wind that rearranges all of it against fence lines and driveway mouths. London Snow answers that kind of weather: plowing drives and lanes, shoveling walks, spreading salt where a packed track has gone slick. The finest hour of the whole job is the one just after — a cleared drive, banks squared off at the ends, blue light coming up over stubble fields. Get it done early and the school bus makes its stop, the car makes the county road, the day proceeds as planned. That is the entire ambition of a snow route.
