About Nihiser & Dyer Tree Services Inc

Logan sits at the front door of the Hocking Hills, where sandstone cliffs hold hemlock in the cool shade and the hardwood ridges turn all at once in October. Nihiser & Dyer Tree Services Inc works the town lots and the hollow roads out past them — removals on steep ground, trimming a crown back from a cabin roof, pruning the yard oaks that give a place its whole character. Storms funnel through these valleys and drop timber across drives and lanes, and clearing it means reading the tension in a trunk before the first cut goes in. The saw work is the quiet part; the hauling and raking take the rest of the day, and all three have to be right. What is left is an open road, a whole roof, and a tree that still looks like itself.
