About Northwest Property Maintenance

Four in the morning on Elida Road, the parking lots are blank sheets of white and the streetlights make them look wider than they are. Northwest Property Maintenance is out there ahead of everyone, plowing the lots, cutting clean lanes to the doors, shoveling entries and salting the ice that forms wherever water ran and then stopped. By the time the first cars turn in, the pavement is dark again and the curbs have reappeared. Winter in Lima is a long series of these early mornings, and the whole job is to keep them uneventful. Snow and ice work covers Lima, American Township and Shawnee Township.
