About Dean's Maintenance Company

Some February nights in Lima you can feel a storm before the radar catches up to it — the wind swings around, the air goes still and bitter, and then it starts coming down. Dean's Maintenance Company waits out those hours and moves when it's time, plowing drives and lots, shoveling walks and entries, spreading salt across the ice that arrives behind the snow. The work gets measured in what nobody notices: no one sliding at the steps, no one stuck at the apron, no morning lost to it. Snow here rarely arrives politely, and it often comes back the same week to try again. When it does, the trucks go back out.
