Barterlawns

About Barterlawns

October along the Olentangy is the good stretch. The river runs low and clear on the west side of Berlin Township, the sycamores go pale, and for six weeks every lawn in Delaware County is buried. Barterlawns works straight through it — leaves off the turf before they mat and smother it, the last cuts of the year taken a little lower, borders recut along walks that softened over the summer. The rest of the season is the weekly mow and trim, held steady from April on. Come November the yards here look swept, and the grass goes into winter able to breathe.
