Beatty Lawn & Tree

About Beatty Lawn & Tree

Standing Stone catches the first light over Lancaster, and the sandstone turns the color of a peach while the streets below are still gray. Beatty Lawn & Tree keeps those hours — mowers rolling early through the green months, plow trucks out ahead of daylight once the county goes white. Summer here looks like striped grass, an edge cut clean along a brick walk, clippings blown off the drive so a yard reads finished rather than merely cut. Winter looks like an opened driveway, salted at the shoulders, waiting before anyone has thought to worry about it. Ordinary work, in a town that notices when it is done right.
