D & M Landscaping

About D & M Landscaping

Fair week comes late in Lancaster — the county fairgrounds fill up in October, and by then the yards have shifted from growing to letting go. D & M Landscaping follows that turn: the last close mowings of the year, trimming back along walks and bed lines, and the long autumn cleanups when maple and sycamore let everything down at once after the first hard night. A lawn cleared before winter comes back cleaner in April, which is most of the argument for doing it. Through the warm months it is the ordinary weekly rhythm, mowing and detail work on a route. There is a particular pleasure in a yard raked out under bare trees, sharp at the edges, waiting.
