Happy Trunk Tree Service

About Happy Trunk Tree Service

On Lakewood's western edge the ground falls away into the Rocky River valley, and the cottonwoods down there make their own weather of rustle and shade. Happy Trunk Tree Service climbs both sides of that line — the valley-rim yards and the tight brick streets of Birdtown, where a hundred-foot ash can stand six feet from a bedroom window. Storms come up the lake in summer and arrive all at once; the morning after is spent bucking a fallen crown into rounds and handing a family back its driveway. The rest of the year is trimming, thinning and deadwooding, the slow work that keeps a tree from ever becoming an emergency. A yard left tidy, and a tree with another thirty summers in it.
