Carlisle Township Road Department

About Carlisle Township Road Department

Carlisle Township is mostly straight roads and open field, and in winter that openness is the whole story: snow that falls quietly on the village square can come across the bean stubble in a wall. The Carlisle Township Road Department is the crew that answers it, running the plow routes so the township's roads are passable while most of LaGrange is still asleep. There is a plain pride in the first pass of the night — headlights, a curl of white off the blade, and a road reappearing behind you. By the time the school buses roll, the work looks like nothing ever happened. Snow removal and road clearing for Carlisle Township and the LaGrange area.
