Bowers Lawn Care

About Bowers Lawn Care

By late July the grass along Plum Creek has gone deep and tired, and Kent afternoons get heavy enough that you can hear a mower two streets over. Bowers Lawn Care spends those hours in back yards on the low rises near the creek, cutting high in the heat so the turf holds its color instead of burning off. Trimming around the swing set, along fence posts, around the flare of a maple root, is where a yard is quietly won or lost. Then the border where lawn meets the driveway, the clippings cleared away, the gate latched behind. The smell of a fresh cut sits over the block until dark, which is reward enough.
