About Darby Creek Cuts LLC

Big Darby Creek runs quietly through this corner of Union County beneath leaning sycamores, and the yards that back up to it green early and stay green late. Darby Creek Cuts LLC takes its name from that water and its schedule from the grass beside it, with mowing, trimming, edging and seasonal cleanups across the growing months. Creek-bottom ground comes on fast after a July rain, so a single skipped week is the difference between a lawn and a hayfield. There is a plain pleasure in a yard cut close and even, the mowing lines following the slope down toward the trees. The route runs from the first flush of April to the last cut of October.
