About Lynn Randolph Tree&Lawncare

When the wind swings northwest over Lake Erie, Jefferson knows what is coming: bands of lake-effect snow that can bury a driveway in the time it takes to eat supper. Lynn Randolph Tree&Lawncare works those weeks — plowing drives and lots, clearing walks and steps, and salting the slick places once a squall has passed on through. Ashtabula County measures its winters in feet rather than inches, so the work is repetition: the same route, run again, while it is still coming down. There is a plain pride in a drive that stands open every morning of a storm week, and a walk you can carry groceries across without thinking about it. When the sun finally breaks over all that white, it is worth stopping the truck a moment for.
