Hart's Tree Service

About Hart's Tree Service

Out on the Huron pier the wind never really lets up, and the lake tells you the season before the calendar gets around to it — ice-shove gray in February, glass-flat blue in June. Back in the streets behind the river mouth, cottonwoods and silver maples take that push all year long, and they show it in the way they grow. Hart's Tree Service takes out the ones that have lost the argument, trims and prunes to keep a crown balanced against the prevailing wind off the water, and clears a property after a lake storm has scattered it. Limbs cut short, chips blown into the truck, the grass left clean. It is a satisfying thing to finish a job in Huron and hear nothing overhead but leaves and gulls.
