About J D Molle Company Ltd

There is a particular Hocking County problem: the ridge thaws by two in the afternoon and the gorge below it never does. J D Molle Company Ltd works both — the gravel switchbacks, the shaded lanes under the hemlocks, and the flat lots in between. Blackhand sandstone throws shadow all winter, and ice hiding under a dusting is the thing to respect on these roads. Drives get opened wide enough to turn a truck around, and walks are cleared where the hill wants to send meltwater across them. Winter here is long and gorgeous and completely uninterested in anyone's schedule.
