C&R Land Works

About C&R Land Works

Hillsboro stands on high ground, where Highland County's fields tip away toward Rocky Fork Creek and the wind has nothing to slow it down between December and March. C&R Land Works works that country in both directions — mowing and trimming through the long green months, then plowing and clearing when the pavement goes white. There is a specific satisfaction in a drive opened at four in the morning, black asphalt showing while the rest of the county is still buried. Come July the same properties get a straight line cut along the walk and a tidy border at the mailbox post, finished before the heat settles into the day. Ordinary work, done with care, on homes and lots around Hillsboro and the ridge roads out toward Rainsboro.
