Norwich Twp Road Maintenance

About Norwich Twp Road Maintenance

Norwich Township is a grid of roads laid over old farmland, and in a February storm every one of them has to be open by the time the first shift leaves for work. Norwich Twp Road Maintenance runs snow removal across that grid, plowing the lanes, pushing back the drifts that build wherever a field meets a road, and spreading salt on the curves and the low hills around Hilliard. It is three-in-the-morning work: headlights, falling snow, and the long slow passes that turn white back into black. Nobody sees it happen and everybody feels it at six. That is the arrangement here, and it holds up winter after winter.
