9 Trees Landscape Construction

About 9 Trees Landscape Construction

In January the tree line along the Heritage Rail Trail is all architecture: bare limbs against a low gray Ohio sky, the old railbed running west out of Hilliard toward the farm fields. 9 Trees Landscape Construction works that same landscape after dark, when a clipper drops down out of Canada and lays four inches over the drives off Leap Road and out through Brown Township. Plowing, shoveling the walks, salting the ice that forms where meltwater runs back across a slope by morning. There is a particular satisfaction in a driveway cleared corner to corner, no windrow left across the mailbox, nothing for a homeowner to do but back out. That is the whole ambition of a winter night here.
