About Superior Earthworks Inc.

Nothing slows the wind in Gorham Township once the fields are bare — snow crosses the open ground in long ribbons and stacks against every fence line and drive. Superior Earthworks Inc. runs the plow into that, usually somewhere on the far side of three in the morning, pushing drives clear and cutting the drifts back so the next one has somewhere to go. Walks get shoveled by hand, steps and entryways salted, and lots opened wide enough that nobody has to guess where the pavement ends. Drifting is the real work out here: a storm can quit at midnight and the wind can fill a lane back in by dawn, so the route gets driven again. Farm lanes, township roads and businesses around Gorham, West Unity and Fayette all sit on that list.
