Snow removal
About Abix Ltd.
Galloway sits out on the flat west of Columbus, where wind crosses open ground with nothing to break it and lot lines fill with drift by three in the morning. Abix Ltd. runs snow removal in that country — pushing plow lanes, opening walks and drives, laying salt while the rest of the township is still dark. Night work has a world of its own: sodium light, the scrape of a blade, one lot finished and on to the next. By the time headlights start moving on Norton Road the pavement is black and wet and nobody thinks twice about it. That, precisely, is the point of the whole night.
