Galion sits up where Crawford, Richland and Morrow counties come together, high enough that a west wind has nothing left to slow it down. In January that wind takes a field of stubble and lays it back across the county road in white ribbons, and Elevated Excavation & Property Maintenance goes out to open the drives again before the coffee has cooled. There is a plain satisfaction in a lane cut clean to the gravel with the banks pushed back where the next storm can't undo them.
