About King Kongcrete

Snow behaves differently on the flat ground near the old mill buildings by the water, driving across in sheets and packing into one corner of a lot while the rest stays bare. King Kongcrete runs the night hours out there, headlights full of falling flakes, pushing accumulation back to the fence line and keeping aprons and approaches wide open. Salt goes down where trucks turn and where a downspout has been quietly building a sheet of ice since Tuesday. The measure of a good night is a lot nobody thinks about the next morning, dry enough to walk and big enough to turn around in. That is the entire point of the job, and it never gets old.
