About Ridge Lewis Snow Removal, LLC

There is a kind of Hancock County storm that has almost nothing to do with the sky. The snow already fell; now the northwest wind lifts it off the bean stubble and pours it across the county roads in long white ribbons, and a lane cleared at ten o'clock is drifted shut by two. Ridge Lewis Snow Removal, LLC works those hours — running the blade down drives and lots, pushing the banks back before they set up hard, treating the aprons and walks where ice hides under the drift. Headlights, wind, the plow throwing a wave to the right, and then the next place. Morning arrives at a farmhouse lane that looks like nothing ever happened, which is the whole idea.
