About HubbSnow

At three in the morning the reservoirs east of town lie flat and pale, and the wind comes off them with nothing in its way. That is when HubbSnow works — plowing driveways and lots, shoveling steps and entryways, clearing sidewalks and treating ice while Findlay sleeps through the worst of it. There is a quiet pride in the timing: the storm quits at two, and by six the pavement is black again and somebody gets to work without a second thought. Drifting is the real adversary out on the open county roads, where snow rebuilds itself across a lane in twenty minutes, so the route gets run a second time. Winter here is a string of long nights, and the job is making the mornings after them look easy.
