About Schill Grounds Management

At three in the morning the storefronts and office lots along Route 4 belong to nobody at all — just sodium light, empty striping, and snow filling the aisles an inch at a time. Schill Grounds Management keeps those hours, running plows down the lanes, cutting the corners square, salting the entrances and clearing the sidewalks where people will step out of their cars in four hours without thinking about it once. Ohio Valley storms arrive with their own temper here, wet and heavy one night, fine and drifting the next, and each kind asks for a different pass with the blade. The measure of the night is what the property looks like at first shift: black wet pavement, curbs visible, the walks bare and gritty underfoot. Unremarkable, which is precisely the point — a place that opens on time as if winter had simply agreed to skip it.
