LANDFORM

About LANDFORM

Fairfield tilts, gently, from the eastern rise down toward the Great Miami, and you never read that shape more clearly than under fresh snow. LANDFORM works the winter version of the town, plowing driveways and lots, clearing walkways, salting the slopes and shaded corners where ice takes hold first. Snow finds every low spot and every north face, so the route follows the ground rather than the map. There is a plain pleasure in backing down a drive you have just opened and seeing bare pavement in the mirror. By the time the sun comes over the ridge, the work is already behind you.
