About Fairway Athletic Fields

Winter turns the playing fields at the west end of Fairfield into a flat white nothing, and the lots and drives beside them into the actual work. Fairway Athletic Fields handles snow removal here, plowing parking areas and entrances, clearing walkways by hand and spreading salt where shade holds the freeze all day long. Southwest Ohio rarely gives you clean snow; it gives you three inches, then rain, then a hard still night, and whatever surface you left is the surface people walk on in the morning. So the first pass goes early and the edges go straight, down to the surface wherever the surface can be reached. A cleared lot at sunrise is a small quiet accomplishment, and it repeats all season.
