About Turf Health Incorporated

Come July, Elyria slows down around Ely Square — the fountain going, shade pooling under the old trees, the courthouse block holding the last of the day's heat well past supper. Turf Health Incorporated spends that season on the lawns nearby, mowing to a rhythm the grass can keep, trimming close along fences and foundations, edging the walks until the line between green and concrete looks like a decision instead of an accident. Autumn turns the same routes into cleanup runs, leaves hauled off before they mat down and smother what is underneath. Then the county tips into winter and the trucks change their errand: plowing drives, opening lots, laying salt where ice likes to gather at the bottom of a slope. Two kinds of work, one habit — show up, and leave the place in better shape than the weather left it.
