Matt's Lawncare

About Matt's Lawncare

The first mow of the year around Dinsmore comes when the ditches are still running with thaw water and the ground is only just firm enough to hold a wheel. Matt's Lawncare watches for that week, then takes the winter off a yard — matted grass lifted, twigs and grit cleared, the whole lot brought back to one even green. From there it is a steady summer of cutting, edging along drives and walks, and trimming the corners a mower cannot square. Clippings come off the concrete every single time, because half of what makes a yard look sharp is what is no longer there. By the time the fields around town stand shoulder-high, the lawns in the middle of them are keeping pace.
