RIZO COMPANY

About RIZO COMPANY

Late November on the Alum Creek side of town: bare limbs, low sun by four in the afternoon, and the ground still deciding whether to freeze. RIZO COMPANY meets both halves of that moment, taking the last mows and cleanups of the season, cutting the edges back and clearing the beds, then bringing out plows and salt for whatever winter sends next. The growing season here means weekly cutting, trimming and edging from April into October, with feeding to keep color in the blade through the worst of the heat. Winter means a drive opened at dawn, a walk shoveled down to the concrete, a lot salted before ice can set. One property, watched the whole way around the calendar.
