About Edmonds Tree & Landscape Service

Snow reaches Delaware County on a north wind that has crossed the open water at Delaware Lake with nothing at all to slow it down. Edmonds Tree & Landscape Service works the hours after that wind arrives — plow down, headlights full of falling flakes, a driveway opened while the rest of the street is still dark. Walks are cleared to the step and salt goes exactly where ice wants to form, at the low corner and the bottom of the slope. There is a plain satisfaction in an apron of bare pavement at daybreak, steaming a little as the sun comes up over the reservoir. Winter in central Ohio does not announce itself politely; the work is being ready before it does.
