Like the Jones' Lawncare

About Like the Jones' Lawncare

On a Saturday in Delaware you can hear the whole neighborhood at once — mowers starting at staggered hours, somebody's trimmer, a hose running down the block. Like the Jones' Lawncare exists for the part of that ritual people would rather hand off: the weekly mow, the trimming along fence and bed, edging that gives the sidewalk a real border, and a clean sweep at the end. Yards on these older streets sit close together, so one sharp lawn lifts the whole row and everybody can see it. The name is a joke about neighbors and also a promise about how the grass will look on Sunday morning. Delaware streets and the ones just past the township line, on a schedule you can set a clock by.
