B&L Lawn Care

About B&L Lawn Care

Behind the brick storefronts on Sandusky Street there are small yards you would never guess at — a strip of grass by a back step, a courtyard the width of two parked cars. B&L Lawn Care treats those the way it treats a half-acre out toward Powell: mow, trim the edges by hand where the deck cannot reach, sweep the walk clean. Delaware is a town of narrow lots and generous shade, and a lawn here has to be coaxed rather than bullied. Late afternoon, when the light comes sideways down the street, is when the cut shows best — even, unhurried, the border along the sidewalk drawn like a pencil line. That is the whole ambition, and it is enough.
