About Buckeye State Seeding, Inc.

Late April on the Deer Creek flats arrives as a slow green rumor — one week the ground is brown corduroy, the next there is color in the ditch banks and every yard in Deercreek township wakes at once. Buckeye State Seeding, Inc. works that level central Ohio ground, mowing and trimming lawns that run long and open under a sky nothing much interrupts. There is a plain satisfaction in the first clean cut of the year: the edge sharp where grass meets the drive, the clippings breathing out that green smell all afternoon. The work carries through the summer flush and into fall, when the yards slow down and ask for less. Out toward Mount Sterling and the creek bottoms, a tended lawn reads like a door held open.
