About Earth Works Incorporated

Down in Moraine the lots run wide, the loading docks face the wind, and a storm has nowhere to hide. Earth Works Incorporated pushes those acres open — plowing lanes and aprons, stacking snow where it will not block a sightline, salting the walk-ups and dock edges that freeze first. Dayton nights in January get cold enough that whatever melts at noon returns as glare ice by six, so the de-icing never really ends. It is a good feeling to stand at the edge of a lot cleared corner to corner while the sky is still black, the piles squared away, everything ready for a shift that will never know what it took. Winter work down here is measured in acres and hours, and most of it happens in the dark.
