About Alexander lawn and landscape LLC

By late June the sycamores along the Mad River hold their shade like a held breath, and every yard on the east side of Dayton grows an inch overnight. Alexander lawn and landscape LLC keeps time with that: mowing on a rhythm, trimming the fence lines and hydrant collars, edging the walk until the concrete shows a clean gray seam. A lawn kept this way reads differently from the street — squared off, breathing, obviously tended. The work is unglamorous and it is repeated, and that repetition is exactly what turns a patch of grass into a place people want to sit down in. Dayton summers are humid and generous; the grass takes full advantage, and so does this crew.
