About Falcon Property Service

The Darby plains hold nothing back from the weather — flat prairie ground west of Columbus where snow crosses the fields in long white ropes and packs into any driveway facing the wind. Falcon Property Service is out in it before daylight, plowing lanes and drives, clearing lots, shoveling walks and scattering salt on the steps that freeze before anything else does. Country drives run long here, and the pushing has to leave the snow somewhere it will not blow straight back in by afternoon. When a storm rides through overnight, the drive gets opened twice before anybody uses it once. Come sunrise the road is white and the driveway is black, which is the whole idea.
